After crashing ten minutes into the final Sprint Cup Series practice, Greg Biffle and his No. 16 3M Ford team will have to go to a backup car for Sunday’s race. After hitting the wall, Biffle told his team, “I (freaking) killed it.”
Because they are going to a backup car, Biffle will have to vacate his 13th place starting position and start from the rear of the field for the Kobalt Tools 500.
After climbing from his car, Biffle said the car just got loose.
“I just got a little bit loose running the top,” Biffle said. “The back end touched the wall and sucked the nose over right where they stopped the SAFER barrier. I hit right in the worst spot, where the wall was kinked out. I touched and it turned the car in to where I hit the part of the wall that was jutting out and it just killed the car.”
