Mark Martin bringing winning chassis to Bristol

Crew chief Alan Gustafson has chosen Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 5-523 for the race in Bristol this weekend. Mark Martin drove this chassis to a fourth-place finish at Auto Club Speedway last month. This is also the same chassis that Martin used to win at Michigan International Speedway last June.

Mark Martin, driver of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet, was quickest in Saturday’s Final Sprint Cup Series practice session. His teammate and polesitter for Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 500 was second quickest.
